Flying at Night

Flying at night adds a totally new experience to day VRF flying. The night qualification may be included as part of the PPL course with the advantage that the flying hours and cost may be included, or it can be added later to your PPL as you require.

The requirements for the night qualification are 5 hours overall night training in aeroplanes to include 3 hours dual night training of which 1 hour is dual night navigation and 5 take-off and full stop landings at night as Pilot in Command (PIC).

License Currency

If you wish to carry passengers, you must also keep your license current. This includes 3 take-off and landings within the previous 90 days. If you also wish to carry passengers at night, one of these take-off and landings must have been at night.
